TalonRO - Impossible is nothing - Free Ragnarok Online Server

Server is back up! We've moved hosts (once again) and hopefully this will be the last time we'll ever have to do so. Remember to RUN YOUR TALONPATCH or you will not be able to login.

I will compile new installers and upload them ASAP in case your patch does not work correctly. If it does not work, first try the following:
- Rightclick your TalonRO folder and uncheck the Read-Only box. If it asks to apply it to all subfolders, click Yes. Then try to patch again.
- Make sure you are running the patch as an Administrator and in case of Windows Vista/7, disable UAC.

Now, obviously we've also released some updates which were planned already. Here's a quick list:

TalonRO Updates

• The MobDB/ItemDB pages are updated. You should now be able to find the most recent mob stats and drops. Also some of the mobs that were not working before should be working fine now.
• We have updated the actual mob and item databases ingame. This mostly consists of some drop changes/fixes. All missing cards for the new MVPs were added, a Fire Armor[1] was added to Ifrit and some more changes were done. Too many to list them here, so just check the Cpanel for that.
• Kafra Doll quest has been implemented. The starting NPC can be found at: aldebaran 51,236
• Forgot to mention the Kawaii Ribbon quest. Starting NPC can be found at: ayo_in01 195,108
• Some price changes in the Item Shop.
• Added a new item in the Item Shop: Surprise Box. Some of you will remember this from before. The box costs 7 Talon Coins and will give you 10 OBB, 10 OPB and 5 OCA.
• The Gunslinger and Ninja shops/ammo makers have been duplicated in the Weapon Shops of Einbroch and Amatsu. This should make it easier for people to find them.
• The Ep 13+ quests should all be working now, without the Onward to the New World Quest.

eAthena Updates

• All episode 13+ cards working properly now. See ItemDB for the changes.
• The Invincible skill used in Sealed Shrine cannot be dispelled anymore.
• Steel Body costs 200 sp instead of 50% max sp.
• Re-added the SI_EARTHSCROLL icon for taekwon's Happy Break status.
• Various fixes to the Orc Instance and Sealed Shrine.
• Added all warps to Manuk & Splendide. The houses can now be entered as well.
• Added basic town NPCs for Manuk and Splendide.
• Various typo and bug fixes.
• Added "Otherworld language" quest.
• Added Cat Hand Trading NPCs for 13.2 maps.

Ratemyserver.net Reviews

Server status: online

Time for some updates, once again!

Item Shop prices revamp!

This has been a project we've been working on for a while. The prices of almost all cards and equipment in the item shop have been revamped. Instead of everything being 10 Talon Coins, they are now divided into 4 different tiers: 1 TC, 3 TC, 5 TC and 10 TC. Obviously the more useful cards and items kept their old price, but a lot of items have gotten a lot cheaper.

To "celebrate" this, you will get 25% more value for any donation claimed ingame higher than $20 for this week. The amount will be rounded down, so if you have donated say...$23, you will get 23 * 0.25 = 5.75 = 5 extra Talon Coins.
Keep in mind that this will only work for donations that are claimed ingame in this week. If you donate this week and you claim the donation ingame after a week, it will not work.

Turbo Track & Izlude Arena prize revamp

The Izlude Arena prize revamp has already been done last week, but I thought I'd remind you all about it. Now we have also revamped the Turbo Track rewards. Though, to ensure people will not abuse this by dualclienting, we allow only unique IPs to enter at the same time.

Okay, time for some small updates.

First off, RUN YOUR TALONPATCH IN ORDER TO PLAY. WITHOUT THIS, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO LOGIN.
Secondly, RUN YOUR RAGNAROK_RE.EXE AS WELL. Without this, you will not see the new client changes.

If for whatever reason it doesn't work, try this:
- Rightclick your entire TalonRO folder and go to Properties. Then there should be a checkbox named "Read Only". If it's checked, uncheck it and press OK. If it asks to apply it to subfolders/files, click Yes. After this, try to patch again.
- If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, make sure UAC is disabled. For instructions on how to do this, go here.

If it still doesn't work correctly, get the latest Mini Installer here.

TalonRO Updates

• The client has gotten a pretty big update. You won't notice a lot from it, but the internal structure changed quite a bit. So if you find any weird text or some error, please let us know ASAP.
  Something that you will notice is that you can now use F12 to increase the skill bar in size instead of having to drag it with your mouse. You can use ALT+` to enable/disable the main buttons and F11 to clear your entire screen of HUD elements to make nice clean screenshots
  Also the chat window has received a pretty nice update. You can now make any amount of chat tabs you'd like, rename them, drag them around (even outside the regular chat window), etc. There are also a few new options, like EXP Received and such. If something's not working correctly here, also let us know ASAP.
  Important to know is that you will have to redo your hotkey settings if you made any changes to the default ones because Gravity changed the file used to save these settings.
• The option popup when you die appears again now. This was done as Gravity now added a confirmation window before going back to your spawn.
• The GM Challenge opening times have changed. Instead of having one per day for 4 hours, it will now open 3 times a day, for a time of 2 hours each. This should make it a tad easier for people to join.
• Izlude Arena had its rewards increased. Should be more useful now. The Non-SQI Arena version was slightly reduced in difficulty. Turbo Track will get a (pretty big) boost on the next reboot as well.
• Various bugfixes to the quests released last week.
• Various small bugfixes.

eAthena Updates

• Sharpshooting is no longer affected by Vulture Eye.
