PRELUDE
There were nine worlds. The Ancients had found these worlds, and began nurturing and caring for them. Extracting some of their powers, the Ancients planted a tree and named it Yggdrasil. Yggdrasil grew for thousands of years through each of the nine worlds, connecting them as one. When the tree was fully grown, the Ancients left the nine worlds.
New life began as the warm winds of Thor reached the cold lands of Niflheim. The effect of each world on each other began an abundance of life on each worlds compared to before. Many races emerged, but two worlds began fighting for dominance as "Dods" of the worlds, Asgard (world of Æsir) and Vanaheim (world of Vanir). The Æsir–Vanir War ended in a truce, and the two worlds began reigning over the other worlds together. Odin, the Dods, the Valkyries, and the Einherjars (Odin's greatest warriors) built Valhalla in Asgard, and began ruling over the worlds. Vanirs on the other hand, continued their co-rule without being seen.
There was a time of peace, and the nine worlds grew exponentially during this Golden Age. As time passed, different gods began favoring different worlds to their likings. At first, there were small signs of conflict between worlds or against the gods. Then as time passed in the hundreds and thousands of years, there were mass scale attacks against Odin and his gods in Valhalla. At the peak of these conflicts, named Ragnarok, Odin and the Gods decided to cut off their connection to the other worlds. The event halted the conflicts for a time being and an uneasy age of peace returned to the nine worlds...
Thousands of years passed and Asgard's favor had turned to Midgard. Odin and the Einherjars decended upon Midgard to watch over its human citizens. After an initial Golden Age for the humans, worlds who fought against Asgard and its gods began to turn their eyes on Midgard. After hundreds of years, Midgard had become a gateway to many different worlds.
In recent history, an ancient war raged in Midgard, and Odin took measures to save humanity. Despite much protest of the Valkyries (namely Randgris), Odin and the Einherjars built a new bridge into the realm of Valhalla in the world of Midgard that only worthy humans could access. Humans began to gather around the bridge, and created an ancient city named Yuno.
The land was war-torn, the war between the Gods and Mankind and Daemons was all but over, with only a handful of powerful Daemons refusing to enter the truce.
It was at this dark hour that Odin, the Einherjars, his Valkyries, and a force legendary Human warriors sealed the last of the Daemons in a prison forged of stone and imbued with countless powerful magic seals. And with the war over, Peace ruled over Rune-Midgard...for a time.
It was in this state of peace that Odin left Rune-Midgard in the hands of the Einherjar, and under the careful eye of his most loyal Valkyrie commander, Randgris herself.
Alas, some Daemons were too strong for the sealing magic, and the great Daemon King Morroc was unleashed into the world. Great storms battered the earth and winds of raw magical energy ravaged the already torn and devastaded lands. Without the aid of Odin's foresight there seemed little hope in battling the Daemon King, but for one brave warrior..
The great warrior-mage Thanatos, a legend among even the Einherjar, set out alone to face Morroc's wrath. For 10 days and 10 nights they battled, the releases of energy devastating not only the land around them but the very fabric of reality itself..
Eventually, Thanatos gave the last of his life-force to seal the Daemon King in the newly formed desert lands in the south. The battle broke him in ways no human can comprehend. The unshakable will of the Einherjar's most revered warrior shattered, his mind torn and anguished he left the land, and was never seen again..
The Einherjar mourned for centuries, taking the time to construct a monumental tower, massive in scale and unmatched in grandeur, in his honour before sealing themselves away from the newborn race of Mankind.
Peace reigned a full thousand years, and Humanity forgot, over time, the fire of the battles of old, and the loss undertaken to save their race and their world. This utter contempt for the blood that was shed for them enraged Randgris, forcing her to seek Odins guidance in dealing with humanity. ..no answer came.
Filled with hatred, abandoned by her master, Randgris flew into a murderous rage, and the Einherjar bore the brunt of it. All but unknown to the rest of the world, a private war was fought between the near omnipotent force of Randgris and her entourage and the valiant Einherjar, with their weapons of immeasurable power.
Facing the fury of the Valkyrie, the Einherjar entrusted their secrets to but a handful of Humans before leaving the halls of Valhalla to face Randgris in final battle, one from which they never returned..
The fury of the conflict rocked Rune-Midgard, and the prison sealing the the fearsome Daemons of old was blasted by the swathes of Magical energy. Many of the seals on the prison were torn free and scattered over the land, the power they possessed was like a magnet for the powerful monsters left over from the Ancient war, and were quickly hoarded by them as sustenance.
The Einherjar were never seen again by their apprentices, who observed Randgris badly wounded, but still alive in the Ruined temple of her former master. The apprentices sealed themselves away from the rest of Humanity, fearing the end of the world and forsaking their race.
CHAPTER I - A New Order

And yet, the indomitable will of Mankind prospered. Heroes once again began to make themselves known throughout Rune-Midgard, even bringing themselves to slay the powerful monsters around the land and reacquiring the Seals..
Humanity even began to settle new lands. Eventually, they came upon the Prison of the Daemons. Newly attuned to the flows of magic, they sensed a link between the seals and the Prison.
After a time, the warriors and Scholars were able to open a gateway into the prison, however they were greeted by powerful foes. Adventurers banded together to delve deeper into what they took for an Arena, and with luck, they defeated the Daemons within. However.. this was but the first gate into the Prison, and the now ancient apprentice Einherjar felt the gate weaken under the force of the Human warriors, and intervened..
Seeing the worth in the new heroes of Mankind, they imparted their wisdom unto the heroes, and forged for them weapons of power in return for their promise to defend Rune-Midgard.
Of course, they would now have to..
With the seal magic released, the bonds holding the Great Daemon King Morroc have loosened, once again allowing him to manifest his terrible power in the realm of mankind.
What new horrors will this living nightmare bring? Will the world survive this cataclysm? Only your actions will decide the fate of the world against these impossible odds..
CHAPTER II - Enter Nokrah

Most unexpectedly, even Asgard's most ancient enemies have come to Midgard. A spirit from the Æsir–Vanir War, a Vanir named Nokrah. Nokrah was the leading member of the Royal Vanirs, an extreme loyalist sect of the Vanir heirarchy. The Royal Vanirs protested the peace with Asgard, which resulted in inner fighting. In the end, Nokrah was exiled from Vanaheim and wander the nine worlds until death. Even in death, Nokrah's spirit continued to wander the different nine worlds, waiting for his chance at revenge at both the Vanir and the Æsir. In Midgard, Nokrah has found both the path and means to return to Asgard once again. The Yuno bridge to Valhalla is the path and the unrefined magic the humans use in Midgard is the means. His return will only mean one thing, the Second Æsir–Vanir War.
At first, no one knew he was the one behind the Orc Aggression War, which turned Geffen into a battlefield. The High Wizard Council sent majority of its forces to battle the Daemon threat in Morroc, and was forced to request the help of adventures who used unrefined magic against the Orcs. As the fiery elemental magic swirled over Geffen during the large scale invasion by Orc General, Nokrah was in the shadows harvest the raw magical powers being exchanged during the fight using elemental crystals from Manuk. The High Wizard Council's attempt to tap into the powers of these elemental crystals resulted in a devestating battle with the Daemon forces.
When Nokrah had gained enough power, he was able enter the Midgard Camp Portal to the New Worlds with a force large enough to invade Manuk. In Manuk, he utlized a human creation to harvest pure elemental magic contained in the Crystals that grow out of the ground in this world. Bringing back his resources back to Midgard, he suddently invaded the 3 ancient seals that the Einherjars used to create the bridge to Valhalla in Yuno in the first place thousands of years ago. The existences of such seals were unknown to humans upon this point. The powers that hold the seals, imbued by the Einherjars, calls out to the humans of Midgard for help. He must be stopped, or another Ragnarok may begin!
Assist the Einherjars: Stop Nokrah from reaching Valhalla and become a warrior of the Einherjars. Then they shall reward you with the ability to create the strongest items in Midgard, Super Quest Items (SQIs).
